IT outsourcing

The Association for Computing Machinery has published a report on the globalization of offshoring software which will influence the direction of game companies. What is interesting to note from the report is that more IT jobs are available today in the US than at the height of the dot.com boom. Therefore, the protectionist attitudes of American lobbyists are unfounded. For those countries that truly had a loss in jobs due to offshoring, Australia and Sweden can be used as a model of replacing those lost jobs with enhancing research and development.
"The brightness of the future for individuals, companies, or countries is centered on their ability to invest in building the foundations that foster innovation and invention."
